كاتدرائيّة مار جرجس - صرباسنة ١٨٦٩ اذ كان المطران يوحنّا الحاج (البطربرك لاحقًا) أسقفًا على بعلبك، وكانت صربا تابعة له، إشترى قطعة أرضٍ من بطريركيّة الروم الملكيّين الكاثوليك. فبنيت الكاتدرائيّة بسعي الخوري بولس الأشقر البجّاني. مع موت البطريرك الحاج سنة ١٨٩٠، ضمّت صربا إلى أبرشيّة دمشق. وسنة ١٩٦٠ فصلت عن دمشق لتصبح منطقة صربا نيابةً بطريركيّةً مركزها هذه الكاتدرائيّة. يتميّز بناء الكاتدرائيّة بتصميمٍ بازيليكيّ بسوقٍ واحدة وثلاث مذابح. اللوحات التي تعلو المذابح من عمل الرسّام داوود القرم وتعود للأوائل القرن العشرين.St George’s cathedral - SarbaIn 1869 Mgr.John el Hajj (later patriarch) archbishop of Baalbeck, since Sarba was a dependency of Baalbeck back then, bought a parcel of land from the Melkite Catholic patriarchate to build a church. The construction of the new church began with Fr Boulos al Achkar el Bejjany. When Patriarch el Hajj passed away, Sarba was transferred juridically from the see of Baalbeck to the see of Damascus. In 1860 Sarba was proclaimed an independent ecclesiastical province, a patriarchal vicariate with the cathedral at it’s center. The structure is a single nave with three apses, and three altars. The church holds three early XXth century paintings by Daoud el Qorm.

محبسة مار بطرس وبولس - عنّايا

بُنيت المحبسة سنة ١٧٩٨، على يد الراهبان يوسف أبي رميا وداود بن موسى عيسى خليفة من إهمج، اللذان بنيا معبدًا صغيرًا، على أنقاض معبد قديم، وأطلقوا عليه إسم دير التجلّي، وستّة قلالي للسكن. عام ١٨١٤، إنضمّ هذان الراهبان إلى الرهبانيّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة، فتسلّمت الرهبانيّة المحبسة على عهد الرئيس العام اغناطيوس بليبل، وتحوّلت كنيستها بأمر البطريرك يوحنا الحلو إلى إسم القديسين بطرس وبولس. من أشهر حبسائها: الأب أليشاع كسّاب الحرديني شقيق القديس نعمةالله، والأب الأب شربل مخلوف أي القديس شربل. تحوّلت المحبسة إلى مزار، يزوره المؤمنون للصلاة وطلب شفاعة القدّيس شربل.

The Hermitage of Sts Peter and Paul - Annaya

The hermitage was built in 1798 by two monks from Ehmej: Youssef Abi Ramia and Dawood Bin Moussa Issa. It consisted of six cells and a chapel dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord. In 1814 both monks joined the Lebanese Maronite Order. The hermitage was transferred to the Order during the days of Abbot Ignatius Bleibel and by order of Patriarch Youhanna el Helou was rededicated to Sts Peter and Paul. The most famous hermits who resided in the hermitage are Fr Elishaa Kassab, the brother of St Nematullah and St Charbel Makhlouf. Today the hermitage is a shrine and a pilgrimage site to those asking for St Charbel’s intercession.

بنى الكنيسة الشيخ موسى الخازن سنة ١٧٢٨ وكانت وقفيّةً لآل الخازن. الكنيسة عقد مزدوج فريد بزخرفته ومقرنصاته وفتحات الضوء في السقف. كانت الكنيسة لزمنٍ طويل مرتبطة بعائلة الخازن إلى أن قامت بين سنتيّ ١٩٠٢ و ١٩٠٤ عاميّة زوق مكايل. في ذلك الزمان هدّد الأهالي بتحوّلهم إلى المذهب الأنغليكانيّ، ولتحول البطريركيّة دون ذلك، حوّلت وقفيّة الكنيسة من عائلة الخازن إلى أهالي البلدة، وخصّ البطريرك الياس الحويّك الرعيّة بزيارةٍ حبريّة وبعددِ من الإنعامات. تضمّ الكنيسة العديد من اللوحات والتحف الكنسيّة القيّمة. رمّمت في ثمانينات القرن العشرين.
The church of St Doumit - Zouk Mikael
The church was built in 1728 by Sheikh Moussa el Khazen as a private church for the Khazen family. The structure is ornate with arabesque decoration and lucarnes in the vault, blending cribbed and crossed vaults. The church was a fiefdom of the Khazen family until the uprising of the peasants between 1902 and 1904. Back then the Maronite Patriarchy made the church a parish for the people to prevent them from turning to anglicanism. Also the Patriarch Elias Howayek made a pontifical visit to the parish and gave the parish many indulgences. The church holds a lot goldsmith artifacts and paintings. The building was renovated in the eighties of the XXth century.

كنيسة سيّدة المعونات حارة المير - ذوق مكايل

سنة ١٨٥٠ إشترى الشيخ عبّاس الخازن حجارةً مقصوبةً لبناء حارته. خلال ثورة الفلاّحين صادر الثوّار الحجارة بأمر قائدهم الياس المنيّر وبنوا بها كنيسةً رعائيّةً حتّى لا تصير مُطالبة بالحجارة، فجاء البناء عقدًا سريريًّا. رُمّمت الكنيسة أواخر القرن العشرين وهي تحوي العديد من اللوحات المحليّة.

The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Haret el Mir, Zouk Mikael

It was built using building stones that were originally purchased by Sheikh Abbas el Khazen in 1850 for the construction of his mansion. However, during the peasant revolution of 1858, a group of revolutionaries led by Elias el Mnayyar confiscated the stones and used them to build a cross-vaulted church. As the stones were used to build a parochial church, no one could claim ownership over them. The church features many locally made paintings and was renovated at the end of the 20th century.
